Pride Inn has opened a new hotel in Masai Mara as it marks moves toward expanding its footprint in the country.
The newly set up facility in Narok County was earlier acquired from Azure Mara Haven and has undergone rebranding to be known as PrideInn Mara Camp.
Hasnain Noorani, Group Managing Director Pride Inn, stated that they are looking into expanding to all 47 counties within Kenya. At the moment, over the next three years, they have highlighted 10 counties where there is a need to establish the hotels and facilities.”
The new establishment sets the PrideInn’s establishments to seven with an offer of room capacity for over 700.
In 2020, the hotel chain signed a management contract with Azure, expanding its business beyond owning and running its properties. A move that saw the forthcoming of a rebrand Azure hotel in Westlands to PrideInn Azure.
The group said it was banking on this model to help it expand its business locally.
PrideInn Mara Camp joins its luxury hotels PrideInn Paradise, PrideInn Flamingo in Mombasa, and PrideInn Azure. Other facilities targetting business and leisure travelers include PrideInn hotels in Mombasa, Nyali, and Diani.
The newly set up Mara facility has 30 cottages and tents overlooking the Talek River river and a 70-seater deck restaurant.
Mr. Noorani further stated that this will help complete the tourism circuit. They now have beach, city, and safari destinations present.
Adding that the entire camp is powered through solar lighting and heating and a plan of having its own gardens where planting of fruits and vegetables will be undergone.
